Hervey Bay is on the east coastline of Australia, about 4 hrs drive from Brisbane, Queensland. Its location allows for ideal weather. In the summer it can reach temperatures of 35 degrees but winter still remains a reasonable 20/21 degrees. Its a popular destination for those wishing to whale watch as late in the year whales use the calm waters of the bay to rest before continuing on to the Arctic.
